Traditionally, door stops present a unique opportunity to create something both sculptural and useful. This interesting design adds functional beauty to what is essentially just a weight to keep doors from slamming shut. 6 1/2" x 4" x 5" tall, made from incredibly strong and durable cast iron or bronze, the 10 lbs. piece is able to maintain a simple elegance with its slender, ring shaped handle and unique channel shaped base. Although considered sculpturally as a stand alone piece, the design is only fully realized "in use" as it is meant to celebrate the anchor point at the edge of a door where it meets the floor.
